Home Remedies for Gastritis

It’s an inflammation of the stomach lining. Mostly it happens because of excessive alcohol consumption or anti inflammatory drugs for long duration. Few common symptoms is stomach pain or upset stomach. Few other indications are nausea, drowsiness, belching, vomiting etc. In future gastritis can cause stomach ulcer & even cancer. Don’t treat this lightly, it’s high time to consider this problem seriously & try some remedies.


•    A pinch of salt with a tsp of carom seeds (ajwain) is an excellent remedy.
•    To stimulate digestion chew a fresh ginger pieces before eating the meal.
•    Coconut water is remarkably effective in treating gastritis. Another healthy & beneficial remedy is potato juice.
•    Create a mixture of carrot juice (300 ml) & spinach juice (200 ml). This is an outstanding remedy for gastritis.
•    Sponge bath & dry friction has also been recommended on a daily basic.
•    Hot compress in an empty stomach is a useful remedy.
•    Drinking plenty of water & juices are highly recommended.
•    Add ½ tsp of licorice root tea in a cup of lukewarm water & leave it for 10-15 minutes. Filter it & drink.
•    Make a mixture of cumin water, tamarind water & a pinch of asafoetida. Its can give you relief from gastritis.
•    Mix black salt & Sprague powder (six parts of black salt). Now add 2 gm of the mixture with lukewarm water.
•    Mixture of black salt (1/2 gm), curd (125 gm) & Sprague (2 gm) can give you a good relief.
•    Roasted fennel also gives you a good relief.
•    Curd, asafoetida, cumin water & buttermilk mixture is an excellent remedy.
•    Curd along with onion is also a good remedy.
•    Take clove fruit with cardamom fruit thrice a day. You can feel the differences.
•    Mix mulethi (glycyrrhiza glabra) power with ghee & honey, it is also a good remedy.
•    Rock salt along with orange juice & cumin seeds is also a very useful remedy.
•    Cumin seeds along with honey or jiggery are an excellent remedy.
•    To live a gastritis free healthy life you should eliminate alcohol & tobacco. Try to fill your diet with fresh fruits & vegetables. Remove fast/junk foods, spices, chillies from your daily intake. Try to life a stress free happy life.
