1. Control your Alcohol intake:

4. No smoking:

Smoking is not only the most common cause of breast tumour, but also the lung and mouth cancer. Women in their premenopausal phase are most likely to get breast cancer if they smoke. Furthermore, smoking is injurious to your overall health. If you are finding it hard to quit, join a rehab or ask your doctor to help you with behavioral or pharmaceutical treatments.

5. Limit your hormonal therapy:

Hormonal therapy for more than 3 years may also lead to breast cancer. Discuss this with your doctor and ask them about the alternatives. If you can do with non-hormonal treatment, go for that. If not, request your doctor to suggest a low dose and keep the duration of your therapy in check. Don’t let it dragging on for too long.

6. Breastfeeding is not only good for your baby; it is good for you too:

Most women are unaware that breastfeed their babies can lessen the chances of this cancer. The longer you breastfeed your baby, the more are the chances to avoid this cancer.

7. Move around instead of sitting for long:

Sitting for a long period of time can also lead to this deadly disease. Keep yourself busy and move around. For example, if you are on your phone, why not take a walk while talking or texting? Why do you have a mobile phone if you are going to sit at one place?

8. Stay away from radiations as much as you can:

According to some researches, mammograms and other Medical Imaging methods like X-rays or computerized tomography etc, can contribute to the chances of getting this cancer. Avoid these tests if you can. Ask your doctor if a certain test is absolutely necessary. If not, just avoid exposure to radiation.
