Split Pea Soup

Green peas are a rich source of Vitamin C, Iron, Protein etc. Its a good remedy of stomach, intestine, liver wounds. It pea2is a one of the key ingredients used in Indian recipes.

Peas (frozen)- 5 cup
Onion (medium)-1 finely chopped
Butter- 1 tbsp
Chicken broth- 2 cans
Snipped chives- 1 tbsp
Salt-as per taste
Buttermilk- 1 cup
Pepper-as per taste.

Take a saucepan & heat butter on medium temperature .
Add the chopped onion and fry for 5-10 minutes.
Now pour the chicken broth & add peas.
Let it boil (let the peas become tender). Add chives & stir continuously.
Pour the mixture in the blender & make a smooth liquid out of it.
Now pour the smooth liquid in the saucepan & heat on medium temperature.
Add buttermilk & stir well. Then add pepper & salt as per taste.
Let it boil for 3-4 minutes & remove from heat.
If you want to make the liquid more thick (your desired consistency) then add more buttermilk.
Soup is ready to serve.
