Home Remedies for Diaper Rash

Nappy rash or diaper rash is very common among infants. Mostly it eliminates on its own, but for the few days that it persists, it is very torturing for kids. So try a few home remedies to give them some early comfort. You can even consult with your paediatrician before starting these processes.

•    In a tub full of lukewarm water add 2 tbsp baking soda. For almost 10 minutes twice a day give your baby a bath, remember to keep them sited.


•    Pour little bit of cornstarch in you palm & apply it gently on affected areas.
•    Add 1 tsp of oatmeal (dried), in your baby’s bath water. It will give them some relief.
•    Pour ½ cup white vinegar in water while washing their diapers.
•    You can even apply baby powder at the rash area.
•    For a little bit of older infants you can give them cranberry juice after consulting with doctors.
•    Whenever wash your baby’s bottom, make sure that its dry, then put them on your baby.
•    You can provide your baby a warm bath & then utilise aloe-Vera gel at their bottom. It will give them some soothing effect.
•    Create a mixture of ½ tsp of pure water & 3-4 drops of olive oil. Slowly massage their bottom.
•    Another easy way is to arrange for some fresh milk & gently message on the affected areas.
•    To eliminate the diaper rash you can also apply the roasted flour as on your baby’s rash.
•    Sesame oil is an excellent remedy to bring some comfort to your baby’s skin.
