Hardly anyone likes cleaning a bathroom – it’s messy, it’s uncomfortable, and it can sometimes get rather disgusting.
However, it stands to reason that a bathroom must be kept clean – not only for reasons of hygiene but also – well, you wouldn’t want to shower in a dirty bathroom, would you? So we shall give you some great cleaning tips to make the job much easier.
The good news is that you don’t need to spend all day with the task – once you know what requires the most cleaning, and focus on that – your job is mostly done. One of the basics of the bathroom is the toilet – you need to clean that at least once a week. You can reduce the amount of time you spend on the toilet by using additives.
There are many cleaning liquids available in the market that you can use – simply put a few drops of that into the toilet tank. So you don’t need to do as much scrubbing, because these liquids are usually self-cleaning. However, you will need to use wipes for the toilet bowl’s external area, and you will also need to clean the toilet seat itself. For these you can use dish-soap, which does the job well.
The next part you need to clean is the shower – here, prevention is the keyword. When you’re done showering every day, simple wipe down the shower area. This limits hard-water stains, and also prevents soap scum build-up. By wiping down the shower area every day, you are reducing the amount of time you would need to clean it thoroughly.
Don’t forget the tub and the sink – like you did in the shower, you can simply wipe these down as and when you are finished. For deeper cleaning, use a mildly abrasive cleaner, and a soft cloth. Gentle scrubbing will be required.
