This is an excellent recipe with high fiber content. It is beneficial for colon cancer. It has potential to control the high
blood sugar level and the cholesterol level. Fiber is capable of regular bowel movements which in turn help to reduce the constipation problem.
Ingredients:
1. Chicken broth (sodium reduced)/ water- 1 ¼ cup
2. Butter- 1 tbsp
3. Salt- As per taste
4. Hot sauce- ½ tsp
5. Ground pepper- According to taste
6. Whole wheat couscous- 1 ½ cup
7. Fresh parsley (minced)- 1 tbsp
Direction:
• Take a medium size saucepan & mix together water/broth along with the salt, hot sauce & butter.
• Cover the top firmly & place it on the medium temperature.
• Now add the couscous & stir well to mix all the ingredients properly.
• Take it off from the oven & allow it to cool for almost 5-10 minutes.
• Remove the cover & use the fork to fluff the grains.
• Sprinkle the parsley along with the pepper & serve.
