Ingredients:

1.    Rolled oats- 2/3 cup
2.    Buttermilk- 2 cup
3.    Baking soda- ½ tsp
4.    All purpose flour- ¾ cup


5.    Whole wheat flour- 1/3 cup
6.    Baking powder- 2 tsp
7.    Ground cinnamon- 1 tsp
8.    Salt- According to taste
9.    Vanilla extract- 1 tbsp
10.    Canola oil- 1 tbsp
11.    Brown sugar- ¼ cup
12.    Egg white- 1 (large size, gently beaten)
13.    Large egg- 1 (slightly beaten)
14.    Pecans/walnuts- ¼ cup (minced finely) (optional)

Direction:

•    Take a medium sized bowl & combine together oats along with the buttermilk.
•    Leave it for almost 15-20 minutes.
•    At 200 degree F preheat the waffle iron oven.
•    Now add the salt along with the baking soda, baking powder, whole wheat flour & cinnamon.
•    Stir well & then pour the nuts (if you are using that).
•    Into the oats mixture slowly add the vanilla, brown sugar, oil, beaten egg & egg white.
•    Mix all the ingredients very well.
•    Use the non-stick spray to coat the waffle iron.
•    Spread the batter till the waffle turn crisp.
•    To keep it warm place it on the oven.
•    For the remaining batter repeat the same process.
•    If required use the non-stick spray.
