Nowadays to sleep well is a blessing for one and all. In this modern, frantic pace of life, getting stressed out is a common health hazard eventually resulting g in disturbed sleep or even sometimes lack of sleep. The lack of restful sleep takes a heavy toll on the health and you tend to be sluggish and irritable by nature. It also has a negative impact on your daily work life balance. Some common sleep disorders are insomnia, sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy. Some of the causes of sleeplessness are: stress, depression, aging, excitement and many others.

Sleeplessness1Some quick and relevant tips to overcome sleeplessness:

• Sleep in a dark, comfortable room. Tidiness and soothing colours on bed is preferable for a peaceful sleep.

• Avoid sleeping with a pet.

• Do not drink any caffeinated beverages before sleep because that creates a disturbance in sleep.

• Do prayers or light mind exercise before sleep so that you can calm your mind.

• Do not eat any heavy food which might cause indigestion and as a result disturb your sleep.

• Hearing soft instrumental music is very soothing and relaxing. It creates the perfect environment to sleep.

• Reading a book or writhing a journal on your daily work can also bring in good sleep.

• A warm bath before going to bed often soothes the irritable nerves.

• Maintain a healthy routine of sleep time.

However, last but not the least if we can practice the old adage of “ early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise” we can really be more efficient and productive.
