Apple is an important source of Vitamin C and is beneficial for all age groups.

Ingredients:tomatoapple
Canned Tomato- 3 cups (drained)
Apple- 1 ½ cups (cut into cubed)
Onion-1 ½ (finely chopped)
Garlic- 1 tsp (minced)
Celery- 1 cup (chopped)
Bay leaf- 1
Curry powder-as per taste
Ground black pepper- as per taste
Rice (long grain)- 1 cup
Chicken broth- 5-6 cups
Thyme- ½ tsp
Milk (fat free)- 1 cupapple
2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

Take a saucepan and heat up olive oil to a medium temperature.
Then add onion, garlic & celery. Fry for few minutes & add curry powder.
Stir continuously, then add tomato, bay leave, black pepper, thyme & rice. Mix properly & let it boil.
Pour chicken broth &  let it simmer for 25-30 minutes.
Once the is rice cooked remove the bay leave. Pour the mixture into the blender and make a smooth liquid.
Transfer the liquid in the saucepan and garnish the top with apple cubes. Heat it to a medium temperature
for 4-5 minutes and remove from heat. Pour the liquid in soup bowl and serve hot.
