How to perform CPR?

CPRCPR –Heart attacks, accidents, or certain medical conditions may cause the human heart to stop beating temporarily. A person who knows CPR can save the life of another person whose heartbeat has stopped. It is different for adults and infants so both techniques must be learned in case of an emergency.

1. Adult CPR — Before beginning CPR on an adult, place the recipient’s body in such a way that you can check for breath and heartbeat and make sure the person’s airway passages are not obstructed.

How to treat burns?

Treat BurnBurns are a common injury that can be treated simply in many instances. First and Second Degree burns do not require special medical attention and are treatable by anyone. Third Degree burns are a special case and the victim of a third degree burn should be taken to the hospital.


. Identifying a First Degree Burn –A first degree burn is marked by the redness of the affected skin and the skin itself will be warm to the touch shortly after it occurs. Run the burn under cool water or cover with a cool, damp cloth until the burning sensation goes away.

. Identifying and Treating a Second Degree Burn — Second degree burns are more severe than first degree burns but unless the burn covers a large area of skin do not require hospitalization. The initial treatment for a second degree burn same as it is for first degree burns. Run the burn under cool water or cover with a damp cloth until the burning sensation goes away. Do not pop the blister that forms. The blister will be used by the body to heal the area.
